On October 4, 2024, the 3rd Economic Cooperation Organization Think- Tank Forum entitled “Next Generation Economics: Challenges and Perspectives” was held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The forum was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in the “COP29”-UN Climate Change Conference.
Within the framework of the 3rd ECO Think-Tank Forum, a bilateral meeting was held between the First Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research Oraz Murtazozoda and the Director of the Economic Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Sadigov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation and prospects of joint activities.
Following the results of bilateral meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Economic Scientific Research Institute of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
First Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Oraz Murtazozoda expressed gratitude to the management of the Economic Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the warm welcome and hospitality and noted that the signing of this memorandum will contribute to the expansion of scientific and analytical relations between our researching organizations, conducting joint research on current regional and international issues, and by the way strengthening the cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
It is worth to remind that on May 22, of 2023 within the framework of the 18th session of Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Dushanbe, Director of the Center, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, hade a construction meeting with the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Economic Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mahir Humbatov. During that meeting, was reached an agreement of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the above- mentioned institute.
